The Funny Farm Backpackers Hostel, part of the Mattenhof Resort is the centre of diversity and activity in Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland. With its 100-year history it offers a distinctive combination of tradition and modernity.

In addition to large hotel grounds, an Art Nouveau main building and over 18,000 m² of parkland, we offer our guests truly fascinating nature and almost unlimited cultural, leisure and sports opportunities. All sights and shopping opportunities as well as the pier for boat rides on Lake Thun are about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The hostel's guest card allows you free use of local buses and trains as far as the Interlaken East or West train stations. From there all trains for excursions into the mountains or to Lucerne depart.
